Angela A. Art | Cloud House Therapies – Where Art, Healing & Community Connect

🎨  Cloud House "See My Voice" Project and Summer Art Event

Around July/August  2025 , during my work as a Therapist in my small business "Cloud House Therapies', I found myself working with a small cohort of women who were gradually revealing themselves as remarkably creative- during our sessions together they were emerging as talented Artists.

Into September this grew, with more women increasingly incorporating art as therapy into our sessions, thriving - as both their talent and their voice grew stronger.

Several things were happening  - key points were that unseen artistic talent was blossoming....confidence and empowering self belief was growing...and art was enabling unheard voices to have meaningful expression.

One day the idea and the goal to offer an opportunity for an art exhibition for these women just burst forth - to have their talent and their voices - SEEN...grew into an inspiring and motivating mission. I wanted to offer something uniquely empowering.

It inspired the beginning of weeks of developing concept art pieces and a determination to make this dream a reality.

I also began to seek funding to help me purchase art materials and plan the project - with the aim of delivering a small art show in January 2026. Alongside running my own business it meant  hours of very late night volunteer work.

The original aim was 10 art works and an exhibition on one weekend in January. I was prepared to deliver everything as a volunteer because I believed so passionately in the importance of voices being seen and artistic talent nurtured and recognised.

As I write this in early January 2026-  I am overjoyed by three times that number of art pieces... and an exhibition spanning 6 weeks and three locations.

I only had a very brief window of time to find funds to help me deliver the aim of a summer art show and ensure the women would be seen and heard -  riding the wave of enthusiasm and motivation generated.

I am incredibly grateful to have successfully accessed a modest but very prestigious (and vigorously contested) State-wide Quick Response Grant (Individual) from Regional Arts Victoria. This was an exceptional achievement and ten amazing local stakeholders helped to make that possible by rapidly responding to my requests for letters of support which were essential to have any chance of being in the running.

Being chosen for the grant has enabled me to expand the project out to a wider community - welcoming many more women into the project and running group workshops.

As Cloud House Therapies I am a proud part of Respect 2040 and SEE my Voice also expanded to incorporate 16 Days of Activism - offering art workshops focused on a theme of women's self-portraits as a powerful statement of being seen and heard.

Thank you to the Warrnambool Neighbourhood Community Centre for embracing the project and supporting us every step of the way. Thank you also to Warrnambool City Council and the Archie Graham centre for also unhesitatingly stepping in to promote and showcase the SEE My Voice Art exhibition.

I am also deeply thankful to Wellways for their community project support scheme which has assisted in expanding the project and also ensuring all participants have quality art supplies to create with.

SEE My Voice is exactly what it was intended to be - a passionate collaborative community project delivering voices to be SEEN with authentic heart and spirit.

This beautiful outcome- the gallery of artwork you see below and the exhibition spaces in the community- showcases the voices of a collective of women- brought together to offer their voices to be SEEN.  Such a privilege to witness and facilitate this!

Thank you all.

I hope you enjoy the journey and the art and the women whose voices it represents, moves you as deeply as it does me.

Please note ;

I originally started this art project with a passionate determination to make it happen no matter what...

As I shared above - the quest to seek grant support for the project was arduous and represents weeks of (unpaid) work in itself.

I am humbled by the incredible kindness and trust of 10 key stakeholders who believed in the vision and provided support letters to assist with the mission.

Ultimately, I cannot share how incredibly grateful I am to have been the successful recipient of the state-wide October Quick Response Grant (Individual).

I (Cloud House Therapies/ Angela Seran Blue Aerth) acknowledge gratefully Regional Arts Victoria /Federal Government Regional Arts Fund/ Regional Arts Australia as well as Wellways Australia / Warrnambool branch for funding support which has helped purchase art supplies and assist me to deliver a series of additional workshops to groups, provide individual supports to many artists and plan/set up three Art Exhibition spaces as well as Online Gallery.

However many, countless hours of my own heartfelt volunteer service are also represented in this project. Including the time spent creating these webpages and gallery book.

Any profits from sale of Gallery books are very low as the price is intended to be affordable and accessible. However it is not cheap to create and print a full colour quality printed book.

Any profit from proceeds directly supports SEE My Voice Project.

Paperback Gallery Books can be viewed and ordered from the exhibition spaces for a heavily discounted near cost price.

Please enquire at the venue, orders must be paid for at time of placing order. Thank you.

Books can also be ordered through Amazon and you can access a low cost e-book.

Most importantly-

every one of these artworks are deeply personal images.

I am grateful to the Artists for allowing their work to be exhibited  for the SEE My Voice Project.

Artists were offered the opportunity to offer their work for sale during the exhibition. Most have decided not to sell their pieces.

Prices will be noted on individual pieces if artists do decide to offer an artwork for sale.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

No commission will be taken on sales during the Art Exhibition.

SEE My Voice

The Art works presented in the Gallery below represent the creative voices of 15 women who have chosen to display their completed artworks in the SEE My Voice Summer Art Event;

Cloud House Therapies 'SEE My Voice" Art Project by Angela Seran Blue Aerth

( With acknowledgement to support from  the Federal Government through Regional Arts Australia / Regional Arts Victoria - October 2025 Quick Response Grant, and Wellways Australia/ Warrnambool for Community Project Support. Thank you for choosing SEE My Voice and helping to make this possible.

Protecting Voices

Due to the overall theme and nature of the project, the collective decision was made to exhibit the artworks anonymously.

The Artists have chosen to display this unique exhibition of voices, this visual symphony for Silent Voices to be SEEN, without names. Artists may choose to have initials, pseudonyms or nicknames or simply have 'anonymous' noted.

Important Note -

All Artists have provided their full details and written permissions for display of their artwork and all artwork is the property of the Artist throughout the SEE My Voice Exhibition.

Artworks return to their creating Artist at the end of the exhibition period. (Unless sold/ gifted or donated by Artist).

If an Artist chooses to offer a piece for sale the sale will be facilitated by Cloud House Therapies but no commission will be taken. (This is offered as a respectful free service to the Artist to protect their anonymity - unless they choose to share their identity. )

The safe space which this privacy offers, allow women to speak -when they may otherwise have remained silent.

The Art works tell a powerful visual story for the viewer to follow.

Women chose to speak through their art in a variety of ways;

In some raw and extremely vulnerable voices - there are pieces which share profound and powerful narratives of trauma, abuse, pain, and deep suffering -as well as anger, defiance and frustration.

Creating Art

It is an honour to bring so many women's voices forward to be SEEN!

I also quietly acknowledge the pieces which also speak powerfully through the presence of their absence.

Some of the pieces created were so personal and private, that the artists requested they not be included in the public display.

These pieces were none the less deeply important as narrative art pieces through darker parts of individual journeys.

The brave artists are equally honoured and their strength and determination shines as inspiration for others.

Many weeks of work are represented here. Dozens and dozens of concept pieces were explored over hours of painting, drawing, exploring, talking, creating and finding a voice through art.

(A selection of the Concept art pieces and art in progress ( without revealing Artist Identities) can be seen as a thumbnail sliding gallery on the SEE My Voice project page )

See the Unspoken

From that outpouring....courageous acknowledgement and witnessing...women began to share about strategies to cope, to survive and to hold space for pain while also seeking a path forward.

Through art they used words such as ....Masking, Hiding, Staying Silent, Waiting, Comply.

Resilience.

Refuge

Regrowth, Rebirth, Redesign and Reimage.

The Artists flowed through the journey together over weeks.....

Some worked with me privately, some in workshop groups, some at home, others at Cloud House....

The SEE My Voice Project was a listening ear to the rising voices- and they spoke loudly....

they spoke of honouring their potential and their capacity for joy, love and hope...while also remembering and comforting the damaged, wounded and broken parts.....

They shared about Therapy and Therapeutic places, practices, pets and people.

The voices grow louder with a rising energy and vibrancy - the call of Transformation.

Sharing Hopes, Dreams, Plans and Future.

Overwhelmingly the Artists spoke of new growth and being.

The energy of voices SEEN and Heard rose stronger through the Project Journey with a collective empowerment and vision of a stronger and shared sense of vision.
